What is Tawakkul?
Tawakkul (تَوَكُّل) is the complete trust in Allah and submission to His will while also taking action. It is not passivity but a balance between personal effort and faith that Allah will always guide us to what is best.
“And whoever puts their trust in Allah – He is sufficient for them.” (Qur'an 65:3)
How Tawakkul Works in Daily Life
Tawakkul means relying on Allah’s help in all matters, while also making responsible efforts. Examples:✅ Career Success: Work hard and pray for Allah’s blessings and guidance.✅ Health & Healing: Seek medical help and make a prayer for healing.✅ Relationships & Marriage: Do your best and make a prayer for love and harmony.
The Three Levels of Tawakkul
Faith: Trust that Allah’s plan is perfect.
Effort: Do everything possible to achieve the best outcome.
Acceptance: Be patient and grateful for whatever Allah decrees.
What Did Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) Say About Tawakkul?
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Tie your camel and trust in Allah.” (Tirmidhi 2517)
This means: Take action, but leave the results to Allah.
