What is faith?
Abû Huraira (r) reported:
>> The Prophet Muhammad (s) had gone out to the people one day when a man came to him and said:
"What is faith?"
He said:
"Faith is that you believe in God, in His angels, in meeting Him and in His Messengers and in the Resurrection."
He asked:
"What is submission to the will of God?"
He said:
"Submission to the will of God is that you serve God, do not associate anything with Him, observe prayer, pay the charity, (alms) which every wealthy believer gives (2.5% of his wealth) once a year and fast (throughout) the month of fasting."
He asked:
"What is goodness, sincerity?"
He said:
"That you serve God as if you see Him. For even if you do not see Him, He sees you." <<
